Improving Cancer Care in Africa

Join YP-CDN for a short talk and interactive discussion on solutions to improve cancer care across Africa with Dr. Fidel Rubagumya, a Resident Oncologist at Ocean Road Cancer Hospital, Tanzania and Founder of the Rwanda Children's Cancer Relief, the only non-profit organization dedicated to childhood cancers in Rwanda.

Dr. Rubagumya will talk about his work in Rwanda and Tanzania, discuss the current challenges faced in providing care to people living with cancer in East Africa, and offer potential solutions and ways the global health community can work together to bridge the cancer equity gap.

We will also introduce the YP-CDN Uganda Campaign for access to radiotherapy, #Bunker4Mulago, joined via video conference by Dr. Joseph Makoba, YP-CDN Kampala Chapter Leader.

This is the second session of the YP-CDN Boston Chapter's Discussion Series on Global Access to Medicines for Chronic Diseases.
