Week Two: Introduction to Non- Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
Module 2 introduces noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and understand the burden of NCDs, who is most affected by NCDs, the key risk factors for these diseases, and measures that can be taken to reduce NCDs. This week’s module reviews key NCDs, such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes before starting a deep dive into the role of mental health within the realm of NCDs.
